For students who want to build a solid foundation in French. This course will give you a smooth entry into the language.
Students will be able to communicate in French at a basic level. They will learn how to introduce themselves as well as how to ask and answer questions about personal details.
You'll also have an insight into the French culture.

There are 4 levels: Beginner 1/ Beginner 2/ Beginner 3/ Beginner 4:
Students will learn new vocabulary and how to use basic sentences & familiar everyday expressions. They will be able to communicate in French and exchange information in a simple way. 10 week course (2h).
You want to develop your existing French language skills.
There are 4 levels: Pre-Elementary 1/ Pre-Elementary 2/ Pre-Elementary 3/ Pre-Elementary 4
For students who have already achieved basic French conversational & grammatical skill and want to extend their knowledge.
Students will be able to exchange information on familiar & routine matters and describe their immediate environment. 10 week course (2h).
You want to improve your existing French language skills.
There are 4 levels: Elementary 1/ Elementary 2/Elementary 3 / Elementary 4
For students who want to be able to speak about familiar matters or interests and deal with situations likely to happen while traveling.
Students will learn how to describe experiences, events and interests using different tenses in French. They will also be able to deal in a general way with non routine information. 10 week course (2h).
You want to become more independent in your usage of the French language.
There are 4 levels: Intermediate 1/ Intermediate 2/ Intermediate 3/ Intermediate 4
For students who want to be able to express a point of view on different topics and to interact with more fluency & spontaneity.
Students will be able to communicate in French with more fluency in a wider range of situations. They will further develop their understanding of grammatical structures and extend their oral proficiency. Students will be able to understand more complex texts and express their opinions on a wider range of subjects, while discussing opposing views of different situations. 10 week course (2h).
You want to become more proficient in the written and spoken language.
There are 4 levels: Advanced 1/ Advanced 2/ Advanced 3/ Advanced 4
For students who wish to improve their fluency of spoken and written French.
Students will be able to use a wide range of language to express themselves clearly, without having to restrict what they want to say. They will be able to summarise information from different spoken and written sources, learning to differentiate finer shades of meaning. 10 week course (2h).
For advanced students who wish to practise their French language skills and further develop knowledge of French culture through a study of idiomatic expressions, newspaper articles, songs and movies. Includes a revision of grammar points with a focus on pronunciation and expansion of vocabulary. 10 week course (2h).
For advanced students who want to practise speaking French.
Students will maintain their French communication skills by practising them every week. They will also enrich their vocabulary and meet new people.
You want to be well prepared for your ATAR exams.
For students who want to revise, practise and achieve highly in their exams.
Students will participate in engaging and fun activities to revise their vocabulary on the following topics: daily routine, French sports & leisure, leading a healthy lifestyle, youth issues, travelling in Europe and Australia, future plans, technology, media, film & music and migrant experiences. Students will be able to improve their reading, writing and listening skills. They will also be able to engage in spoken interaction in French, improving their confidence and communication skill.
You want to learn the essential vocabulary that you will need while travelling.
Students will learn how to communicate in French in different travel situations: greetings, introducing themselves, asking for directions, booking accommodation, going to the doctor/chemist, expressing different issues, making a reservation in a restaurant, ordering food, understanding the menu… Students will also be given cultural tips.
